BIG-1021 Very unique heavy glass frameless steam shower door

  • This unique heavy glass shower door is installed from the curb to the ceiling.
  • The 3/8” tempered glass is embedded into the curb and the ceiling making this a difficult installation, but a beautiful one at that. The channel was installed before the marble. The marble was installed up to the channel, giving the appearance of no channel.
  • We would like to refer you back to the BIG shower door hardware page. You will see all of the hardware that was used in this installation. Glass-to-glass 40 LB hinges, towel bar-pull handle combo, operable transom clamps, and fixed clamps for additional support on the hinge side of the door and fixed panel.
  • This steam unit is available in many different types and thicknesses of glass and many different hardware finishes.

BIG-1022 Heavy glass floor-to-ceiling frameless shower door

  • This unique heavy glass shower door is installed from the curb to the ceiling.
  • The 3/8” tempered glass is embedded into the curb and the ceiling making this a difficult installation, but a beautiful one at that. The channel was installed before the marble. The marble was installed up to the channel, giving the appearance of no channel.
  • Shortening the door that is hinged off of the fixed panel that goes to the ceiling allows the steam to dissipate out of the unit so that the drywall on the ceiling doesn’t get damaged. A sealed shower door must have ventilation. This design accomplishes that.

BIG-1023 Original 4-wheel guided frameless sliding heavy glass shower doors

  • This sliding shower door is in stock and ready to ship as a KD unit.
  • If we are quoting a large project, we can quote the glass as a complete unit.
  • One panel slides and the other panel is fixed.
  • This unit can be installed left or right-handed.
  • This is a reminder if you want the fixed panel to be supported with u-channel or clamps you must purchase them separately.
  • This unit is available in PSS, BSS, and matte black.

BIG-1024 Heavy glass frameless ADA-compliant shower door

  • This heavy glass shower door is ADA-compliant because the daylight opening of the egress and ingress is 36” or wider.
  • The hinges that were used on this shower door are extra heavy-duty hinges. These hinges are 70 lb hinges and the torque of the hinge or the maximum width of the glass can go up to 39”. This will give the daylight opening of 36” or wider.
  • These hinges are in stock and ready to ship. Please refer back to the BIG heavy glass shower door hardware page.
  • The header was used in this application to give additional support to the inline panel because of ADA compliance.
  • The u-channel that was used in this application was standard ¾” legs for 3/8” glass.

BIG-1025 Heavy glass frameless shower door with a new finish that is coming back in popularity

  • This heavy glass shower door is hinged off of the wall. The fixed inline panel goes to the ceiling captured in the u-channel on three sides.
  • The door is shorter than the inline panel allowing the steam to dissipate out of the shower. This application will stop the drywall on the ceiling from getting damaged. This application gives the support that is required for the maximum amount of safety for a hotel.
  • The unit features satin brass hinges, a back-to-back 8” c-pull, u-channel, and a custom-made 18” single-sided towel bar.

BIG-1026 Heavy frameless ½” glass shower door

  • This heavy ½” frameless shower door and inline panel have been installed from the curb and the buttress to the ceiling creating a tight fit.
  • This is a steam shower door.
  • This is a unique installation because the design of the shower door uses a glass-to-glass hinge at the top of the door. At the bottom of the door, they are using a wall-mount hinge because the hinge is attached to the buttress or the knee wall.
  • The fixed panel on the knee wall is captured in ½” u- channel top and bottom. No u-channel on the wall.
  • The towel bar c-pull combo works very well with this configuration.
