One case in particular involved a large assisted living community in Washington. I had inherited a project from a former associate that had made two huge mistakes and could have blown the projects budget and failed to meet project scheduling involving some interior shower enclosures. Not only was he able to provide me with pricing that was lower than what we had included, but he was also able to deliver the shower enclosures 2 weeks prior to when they were needed on-site. Suffice to say Sam was able to save my project deliverables on-time and on-budget.

Another case where Sam went above and beyond what you would expect from any other glass vendor involved the T-Mobile Store in Las Vegas, NV. There were a number of challenges given the glass make-up that required a knowledgeable and dedicated advisor to accomplish the exact color and glass type to achieve the clients requests. Sam was able to complete my request in record time. Another challenge involved the construction schedule, which was accelerated in order to meet the desired store opening date. Typical lead times for any glass vendor would prove to be nearly impossible. Sam however was able to work closely with his glass supplier and manage each delivery in order to achieve the client’s request. Overall both myself and the client were quite pleased with the overall look of the finished glazing products. “I met Sam in early 2000 when he was working at Arizona Shower Door.  Sam sold us on the idea that Arizona Shower Door was a better product then what we were currently using.  He was right! 

Sam eventually started up his own business.  In 2008-2009,  I was the Division Manager for Gale Specialties which was a large residential glass company in Las Vegas.  During this time Gale did receive an opportunity to bid several large hotels being constructed on the Las Vegas Strip.  The Towers behind the MGM and the two buildings for the Cosmopolitan.   As a residential glass company we did not have the expertise to bid such a large projects. Not only were these projects large in volume but also in height.  Doing projects that are 50 floors plus, does bring new and different challenges to say the least.   Not only did Sam help us bid the projects, he also was able to broker in glass at a significant price reduction and it was delivered on time and it was a quality product.  

Sam was with us through all projects until completion, giving us advise and supporting our efforts the whole way.   The process was phenomenal!  In the end, we had delivered a quality product, that was delivered on time and the profit was above expectations.  Probably one of the best career experiences I have had in my entire career.   It was so successful that my CEO at that time wanted us to repeat it.  Unfortunately, the economy crashed and building of large hotels in Vegas came to a halt.
